***********************************************************************************************************
Sadly we have decided not to run the Looe 10 Miler in February 2021.
We will review the situation again in the spring to see if it will be possible to safely run the event later in the year, and keep everyone posted on the outcome.
We would have obviously loved to welcome you all back to our lovely hills but safety must take priority.

Separately to this we've also been made aware of a couple of runners who were missing their posted 2020 medals. If you are also missing one please email race director ninabond@sky.com with your details and we will sort this out.
Stay safe everyone and keep running!

The Looe 10 Miler is an open event and is also part of the Cornish Grand Prix series.

It's the 8th year for this race and we’re again raising money for the Cornwall Air Ambulance New Heli Appeal.
Cornwall Air Ambulance receives no government funding and relies completely on the generosity of local people to provide its service. The charity is looking to raise £2.5 million by April 2020 in order to purchase a new helicopter that will be faster, more powerful and have double the fuel range so that the crew can fly more missions and reach people quicker. This year we are changing things slightly to try and raise even more funds for this critical service.

The race:
An undulating run through West Looe and out onto the coastal road to Talland. A loop around the Killigarth, Porthallow area brings you back down to Talland for the return leg to the finish. We regret that the course is not suitable for wheelchairs. No dogs, pushchairs or walkers.

The race starts and finishes in the Millpool Car Park next to race HQ. There will be three water stations on the route around miles 3, 6 and 9. You must obey marshal instructions and take responsibility for your own safety whilst running the course, especially on the public highway. Marshals are not allowed to stop any traffic.
